an exterior. Fasteners corrode, sealant fails early, and south- and east-facing elevations
weather faster than the rest of the house. Exterior work near the water is not the same job
as exterior work twenty miles inland.

Do I need a permit for exterior work in Sussex County?
Almost certainly, and pulling it is our job, not yours. Which office issues it depends on where the property sits: Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach each run their own building office and permit work inside their town limits, while addresses in unincorporated Sussex County go through the county's Building Permit Office in Georgetown. Properties near the beach may also need DNREC approval. We handle the permit for your project, whichever office it goes through. Our permits guide covers how each one works.
Can you work on a property I don't live at year-round?
